Privacy policy
T.BRAINS Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") recognizes the importance and social responsibility of protecting personal information. To ensure the proper handling of personal information, the Company has established the following privacy policy, built a framework for the protection of personal information, and ensures that all employees understand the importance of such protection and are thoroughly committed to it, thereby promoting the protection of personal information.
Article 1 (Personal Information)
"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”), and means information related to a living individual that can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, or other descriptions included in the information, or that includes a personal identifier.
Article 2 (Acquisition and Use of Personal Information)
The Company shall acquire personal information of users within the scope necessary for the following purposes and use the acquired information accordingly. If the Company intends to use personal information beyond the scope of these purposes, it shall obtain the user's prior consent through an appropriate method.
To respond to customer inquiries (including identity verification)
To allow customers to view, change, or delete their own registration information and usage history
To identify users who violate the terms of use or attempt to use the service for fraudulent or unjust purposes and to refuse their use of the service
Article 3 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When a user requests disclosure of their personal information, the Company shall disclose it to the user without delay. However, if such disclosure falls under any of the following circumstances, the Company may choose not to disclose all or part of the information, and if a decision is made not to disclose, the user shall be notified of the reason without delay.
If there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the user or a third party
If there is a risk of significant disruption to the proper operation of the Company’s business
If it would result in a violation of other laws and regulations
Article 4 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If the personal information held by the Company is found to be incorrect, the Company shall correct or delete such information upon the user's request in accordance with procedures specified by the Company.
If the Company determines it is necessary to respond to such a request, the Company shall promptly correct or delete the relevant personal information and notify the user accordingly.
Article 5 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
If a user requests the suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use, etc.") of their personal information based on any of the grounds set forth below, the Company shall promptly conduct the necessary investigation and, based on the results, suspend the use of the personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and notify the user accordingly. However, if the Suspension of Use, etc. incurs significant costs or is otherwise difficult, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the user's rights and interests, the Company shall implement such alternative measures.
If the personal information is being handled beyond the intended purpose of use
If the personal information was obtained through fraudulent means
If the personal information is used in a way that may promote or induce illegal or improper acts
If the Company no longer needs to use the user’s personal information
If a breach, loss, or damage (hereinafter referred to as "Breach, etc.") of personal information that includes sensitive information has occurred or is likely to occur
If a Breach, etc. of personal information that may result in financial harm due to unauthorized use has occurred or is likely to occur
If a Breach, etc. suspected to have been committed for fraudulent purposes has occurred or is likely to occur
If a Breach, etc. involving the personal information of more than 1,000 individuals has occurred or is likely to occur
If the handling of the relevant personal information may infringe upon the user’s rights or legitimate interests
Article 6 (Amendment Procedures for Privacy Policy)
The Company shall review and improve this policy as necessary. Except as otherwise provided by laws or in this policy, the content of this policy may be changed. The revised privacy policy shall take effect from the time it is notified to users by the Company’s prescribed method or posted on the Company’s website.
Article 7 (Compliance with Laws and Regulations)
The Company shall comply with Japanese laws and other norms applicable to the personal information it holds.
